Akershus offers a diverse range of fruit farms and cider producers, where proximity to Oslo combines with strong traditions of craftsmanship and excellent growing conditions. Here, high-quality apple juices and ciders are crafted from local ingredients, genuine artisanal methods, and a clear pride in flavor and origin.

Bringebærlandet, located south of Oslo in Drøbak, is run by Åse-Marit and Roy and features six kilometers of raspberry hedges. The exceptionally fertile soil and long, bright summers give the berries a unique balance of sweetness and acidity – the taste of a Norwegian summer. Since 2009, the farm has developed the raspberries into wines, including dessert wines, sparkling wines, ice wines, flavored wines, and mead, in addition to non-alcoholic raspberry drinks.
Øvre Ellingsrud Farm in Østre Jevnaker is run by Camilla and Jan, who have been growing blackcurrants and redcurrants organically since 2012. They produce juices, jams, and spontaneously fermented fruit wines, using the press residues from their juice production to make full use of the raw materials. In 2022, they launched their first fruit wines, and previously they achieved the gold standard for “Pilegrimens trøst” in the competition “Norway’s Best.” The wine is unfiltered and contains only organic sugar, with a focus on small-scale, self-developed products rather than mass-market production.
