Rogaland, located on Norway’s southwest coast, is known for its dramatic fjords, lush fruit-growing areas, and mild coastal climate. The region offers rich farmland, beautiful cultural landscapes, and a thriving environment for fruit and cider production, with many farms combining tradition with modern craftsmanship.

Apal Sideri in Sæbø, Hjelmeland, produces fresh and fruity apple cider from old, well-maintained apple trees. Dan Olav Sæbø took over the farm in 2020, becoming the first farmer in Ryfylke to bottle sparkling cider on the farm itself. In February 2020, Sølvsider was launched and was named the world’s best sparkling cider at the prestigious Cider World 2020 competition.
At Skiftun, fruit has been cultivated for several generations. The orchards face southwest, benefiting from excellent light and sun exposure all the way down to the sea, producing fruit with outstanding flavor. The apples are pressed in the farm’s own press on the pier; the juice is pasteurized and bottled directly or packaged in bag-in-box—pure apple juice with no additives. The cider is fermented in tanks, filtered, carbonated, and bottled. Everything is produced and processed locally on the farm, ensuring customers can trust the origin and quality of the products.
On the north side of Jøsenfjorden lies the idyllic Eiane Farm, a place for gatherings, experiences, and renewal. The farm produces naturally bottle-fermented, handcrafted ciders and other products from its own ingredients, with a focus on quality and innovation. In addition to award-winning cider, they offer juicy plums, apples, apple juice, and honey, and welcome visitors to the farm shop, guided tours, and tastings.
Fosmoen Fruit & Cider is idyllically located at Fosmoen in Bjerkreim municipality, Rogaland. The property faces southwest and is well sheltered by mountains and forests, providing optimal conditions for fruit cultivation. Nearby flows the Bjerkreim River, famous for its legendary salmon fishing during the season.
At Fevoll Farm, over 20,000 apple and sweet cherry trees are cultivated in carefully planned systems, producing fruit with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. Here, OmCider is made—a natural apple beverage with a fresh, fruity flavor and character, crafted from carefully selected apples and genuine artisanal methods. Visitors can explore the farm shop for ciders, apple juice, and OmCider products, or join a guided tour of the apple and cherry orchards with tastings—a unique taste of Sogn’s fertile fruit-growing traditions.
Sandalen Farm is Randaberg’s first fruit farm and has, since 2010, evolved from traditional farming to apple production. The farm primarily sells its fruit directly to customers or through local outlets, ensuring that only top-quality fruit reaches consumers. The main varieties are Rubinstep, Rød Aroma, Discovery, Santana, and Rubinola, but the farm also cultivates rarer varieties to create unique products with exciting flavor profiles.
